~*~Pouting~In~Paris~*~

The Best Trip I Have Ever Been On! It may have been with school, but the teachers we went with were ace, It may have been with alot of people who hate me from CHEP, but I was with my bestest and closest mates, and I made loads of new ones there, It may have been a ten hour journey on a hot bus packed full of loud and angry teenagers - BUT WE WERE GOING TO PARIS!!!! I'll start at the beginin...

11.35 pm I left in a hurry with mum, grabbing my bags, and nearly forgetting my sun glasses - nearly a big mistake! lol, i had bought a lush 'animal' bag from free spirit, usually i'm not a labels person, but i loved this bag, along with a lush top from Jane Norman, anyways - we got to the leisure centre, which was the meeting point, and i met up with haz. vicky and jess came along soon, but then Jess told us that she wasn't gunna be coming, because she felt so ill. We tried talking her into coming, saying she was missing out on such a huge trip, and that she'd regret it later, but she was really ill, so she left. We were all real upset, but, atleast we were still going there! Even if it was without one of our bestest buddies. The buses came, all of us kids were cheering and got on in a hurry, couldn't help but laugh at our mums who were all beside themselves waving and blowing kisses - they probably brought out the champagne as soon as we left! The only people i actually knew well were us eight, Me, Vicky, Harriet, Sam, Andy, Ross, Oscar and Cameron.
We're all good mates, even though we did get quite pissed off with eachother at times. The bus ride took forever, everyone did sleep alot though. Harriet got so scared on the ferry, but she lived, we tried just sitting down for the whole time, but she couldn't take it.
When we finally arrived in Paris, we spent about two and a half hours finding the hotel, driving in our english tour bus through the packed streets of Paris, it was gorgeous! Even though they were just shops, but the fact is, they were FRENCH shops. We finally found the hotel, and Me, Vicky and Haz were put into dorm 7 together. The dorm wasn't so bad, it was called Hotel Victoria, and it was quite nice there, even though it was only a two star hotel. Then as soon as we'd freshened up, we were heading to the Eiffle Tower!
We lined up for about an hour, then got onto these huge lifts that took us up. It was gorgeous up there, we (exluding Vicky) were all at the edge for the entire time, I'm scared stiffless of heights, always have been, but i guess the Eiffle Tower, was an exception for me. I wasn't scared to look down once. It was lush. Vicky spent the whole time cowaring in the middle, she'll kill me for saying it, but it's the truth, and it was funny.
/Me and Haz At the Edge\
We went right to the top. Top floor. All the way. Looking down from there was scary, especially when sam came up behind me to scare me - it worked! Then there was the lovely fact he told me and haz, The top fo the Eiffle Tower, SWAYS! we were paranoid for the rest of the way, telling ourselves it was about to fall, no idea how we kept moving to be honest.
When we finished at the Eiffle Tower, it was dark, about 10pm i think. We thought we were going home, but it turned out, we were going on a seane cruise. And haz hated boats. We felt real bad, cuz we couldn't exactly tell a teacher so we had to stay off entirely, and we realised that the Seane Cruise is when you see all the main sites of Paris, well, most of them.
Me and Vicky wanted to sit outside, you could hang you feet over the edges through the bars, and just drift it over the water. Harriet didn't want to, so she sat behind us, which was practically inside. It was lush there, we went round the Seane river, under gorgeous bridges and past loads of Gorgeus buildings, because it was during the World Cup Final and France was ready to win, there were loads of people out just celebrating that they were in the final, yelling out at us and waving. It was real nice. Harriet got a bit upset, and her mum nearly came out to pick us up, but we went in with her and tried to make her feel better. Ofcourse, we knew that would only happen when the boat actually stopped.
When it finally did, we were on our way home, and fast. it was nearly 2am, and we had to catch the Metro back to the hotel. We were waiting ages for it to come, and we were all so tired after a long and hard trip then loads of site seeing. so alot of us were well moody. I unfortunately was the last to cry out of us three gurlies. Vic cried on the bus, missing Jess. Haz cried because of her fear of boats. I cried cuz I was hungry. Typical of me, right? Well it wasn't that I was hungry, but I hadn't eaten all day, I guess I hadn't felt like it, so I had real bad stomache pains. But I put my sunglasses on so no one noticed. lol. Ross did though, and he was such a gentleman I must say (he invite me back to his place (joke)) lol.
We finally got home at about 3am. We were all meant to hit the sack straight away, most of us did, me Vicky and Haz just had a huge gurlie chat, like we always do. Only Harriet fell asleep. We had pushed our two single beds together to make a double one, all three of us shared that just for the sake of it. Less mess to clean up when we had to leave. We chatted until about 4am then decided to actually get some sleep, we were doing a bit the next day, but not much i don't think. we didn't really know what they had planned. We just knew that it was a 7am start, and a terrible start it would be.
Sunday we didn't do alot. We went to this science museum. Everyone was like 'Oh god a freaking Science Museum, how boring' it was NOT what we expected. We found out when we were there, that we were there to watch this movie about the Nile, which once again we thought BORING, but when we got in there the cinema was all around us. It was like one of those simulators, the screen was all the way around and the sound was sooo loud! when the film was playing it felt like you were flying, or actually on the journey, it was so awsome. Harriet fell asleep during that, obviously, because her translating headphones weren't working, that was so funny.
After that we went to a palace, it was gorgeous there, loads of huge paintings, and huge rooms filled with even more huge paintings, and huge beds, which like a hundred people could sleep in!! it was gorgeous there. The gardens were huge, but we weren't allowed through them, youhad to pay, and come one we're british! Like we're gonna losen the purse strings just to see a few flowers, which you could see through the gates anyways. lol.
After the Palace place, we all headed back to the hotel to freshen up for dinner. We went to a little french restaraunt, that was run by Italians, we had english meals. That was just so stupid. The meals were nice, the deserts were nicer, but the restaraunt was so small and we were so cramped. It was kinda crappy, but it was food, that was all i cared about! lol.
Then we travelled to Monmarte, surprisingly it was the thing that I was really looking forward to, but when we got there it was actually kind of very crappy. There was this huge like Taj Mahal look-a-like theme going, with a killer jesus at the top or something. We were pissing ourselves at this singer, who, just couldn't sing to save his life. We went to the town and had about two hours to shop. The eight of us went round, the boys bougth load sof bangers and stuff. Then, me and vicky went to get our portraits done. Haz wouldn't have hers done, but she watched me have mine. The artist was real nice. He read my arabic name on my necklace, I don't think the drawing really looked like me. She was pretty. I didn't see the resemblence to be honest. lol. After Monmarte we wanted to get back to the hotel fast to watch the game. World Cup Final between France and Italy. Oscar and Mr.Goddard had a bet of 10 euroes each, Goddard for Italy and Oscar for France. We decided to stay at a bar and watch the game cuz it was a nice evening. Watching it with a bar full of french people was so fun.The atmosphere was amazing, they cheered whenever they even got the ball - we couldn't see the screen through most of it, but we got the just of the game by the way they acted. When the game finished, we split into groups of twelve, it was about ten by time we left the bar, our group was with the fluent-french-speaking teacher, so we went to an Italian bar and sat outside, it was a lush evening, we all split some pizza and deserts, it was really nice just haning out in the fresh air with all these french people going past, celebrating even though they lost. We got back to the hotel at 3am, the girls from the next dorm came out and said that they had come back straight away as well as the other group, so we were glad that we went with Madame Parsons.
